What I speak about

Six themes. One invitation.

These are the themes I keep returning to — with audiences, institutions, and rooms that want to think out loud. Each can be shaped as a keynote, panel, workshop, or conversation, in French or English.

  1. IKeynote

    Migration as a mirror

    Reading the present through the way we receive the stranger

    I speak about migration not as a problem to be solved, but as a lens that reveals who we are becoming. The way a society treats the newcomer — with fear, generosity, exhaustion, or imagination — reflects its values, its institutions, and its future. These conversations are less about borders than about the kind of people we want to be.

    For: Policy institutions, universities, civic foundations.

  2. IIKeynote

    Belonging as infrastructure

    Designing belonging as a public good, not a private feeling

    I speak about belonging as something we must design, fund, and maintain — just like roads, schools, or courts. We plan for systems and hope belonging will follow, but it does not. What matters are the small institutional habits that decide whether a newcomer becomes a neighbour, or remains a category on a form.

    For: Cities, employers, cultural institutions.

  3. IIIKeynote

    Europe's next chapter

    The political imagination Europe will need for the next fifty years

    I speak about Europe's next chapter: how the continent can learn to imagine itself with — not despite — the people who now live inside it. The European project was built on reconciliation between nations. Its next lesson is closer to home, and it will depend on ordinary practices as much as institutions.

  4. IVWorkshop

    Democracy as a living practice

    Renewing democracy by holding tension without splitting apart

    I speak about democracy not as a system we finish installing, but as a daily practice of rotating perspectives and holding tension. I lead sessions with institutions and civic leaders on how to design participation, inclusion, and renewal without pretending the hard choices have disappeared.

    For: Governments, civic labs, foundations, leadership programmes.

  5. VKeynote

    A feminist in movement

    Defending women's rights when borders decide whose life is visible

    I speak about what it means to be a feminist in movement. Displacement exposes the fault lines of every society's promises to its women: whose body is allowed to move, whose labour is counted, whose safety matters. I explore what a feminism that does not stop at the border would look like.

    For: Women's rights forums, universities, human rights convenings.

  6. VIKeynote

    Climate and migration as one conversation

    Treating climate and migration as a single question of justice

    I speak about why climate change and migration need to be addressed together. Separate ministries, separate summits, and separate publics cannot keep up with a century in which climate is already one of the largest drivers of human movement. The conversation becomes one of preparation, solidarity, and shared responsibility.

    For: Climate convenings, sustainability leaders, multilateral forums.
